3 Festive Canapé Recipes to Wow Your Guests

The festive season calls for elegant and easy-to-make canapés but with everything else going on around you, time is often at a premium. We have 3 delicious canapés that look impressive but won’t keep you stuck in the kitchen. These three festive ideas are perfect for entertaining, combining delicious flavours with minimal effort.

1. Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Blinis

Ingredients:

  • 12 mini blinis (store-bought or homemade)
  • 100g cream cheese
  • 100g smoked salmon
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • Chives, finely chopped
  • Freshly cracked black pepper

Method:

  1. Spread a small amount of cream cheese on each blini.
  2. Top with a thin slice of smoked salmon.
  3. Add a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of black pepper.
  4. Garnish with chopped chives for a finishing touch.

Method:

  2. Stir in the balsamic vinegar and fresh thyme. Cook until most of the liquid has evaporated.
  3. Transfer the mushroom mixture and toasted walnuts to a food processor. Blend until smooth, seasoning to taste.
